CashApp no longer seems to be a reliable way too buy bitcoin. My last transaction took 13 hours, and this one is at 23 and counting.

sometimes one has to pay higher fees to make the transaction faster
Where in the CashApp sending process does it allow me to control fees?
usually, transactions are done faster but one risks paying higher trans fees, using other apps
but with CashApp, no option to speed up trans, and it's only getting worse, as in hopeless case

I sent via lightning. I didn’t make that very clear in the post. I purchased a small amount of bitcoin, to send to my lightning wallet. No speed options were offered, which if I understand correctly, is normal for lightning.

Maaaaan, #cashapp sucks for lightning payments for me
I have 4 lightning invoices stuck, won’t get the money back for 2/3 more days. It was a significant chunk of my paycheck

Always. I’m back in the office tomorrow and I’ll flag this to our team to see if we can’t figure out why so many are stuck in pending.
I’d suggest checking for invoice expiry more often. A ln invoice contains the expiration date, 2 of my invoices expired after 3600 seconds so there’s no reason on my end why it’s still stuck, general support was blaming pathfinding.
I learned to build in some time for troubles, so it’s ok for now. But end users can’t have this much friction.

We’ve got real time chat, and they may be able to help figure out what’s up. Sometimes, sends get tangled up in channels and find themselves in that pending state. Also, correct about lighting speed options. All supposed to be, well, lighting fast ⚡️
