The Medical Record side is taking its time. We realized there is a bunch of startups that designed these systems that never went anywhere even being clearly better than anything in the market.
Unsurprisingly.. health care is hard.
I’m spending the majority of my focus for #nostr #safebox on decentralized record sharing. I have the basics all working so it can be applied to any type of official/private record.
I’ve also discovered that payments are just sharing private transferable records (ecash tokens) so I have implemented that.
All that to say, is that I see an entirely new model here - if done right it can work for any record type, including medical, records. Looking to pilot in early 2026.
Super interesting, thanks. I have a friend working on adding a social layer to continuous glucose monitoring, essentially giving the device itself a persona, this is really useful for researching that use case.
That’s a cool use case. My thinking is that every #nostr #safebox is a first class citizen having its own private key. It might be associated with a device having that private key. The data is stored in the network (relays) beyond the control of any one provider.
