A major ignorance of people is they believe their use of language is clear and concise enough for everyone to understand them. This is never the case.

You must attempt to speak in a manner that the person you wish to convey a message to will be able to understand.

Otherwise you’re better off speaking to a wall.

thats very true. except if youre satoshi nakamoto 😁

I actually disagree.

I personally believe in #Bitcoin. However, if this were the case #Bitcoin adoption would not take all of us spreading the truth about it in our own way.

Language is a tricky thing. Metaphors of metaphors.

i was being facetious. there is a famous quote from satoshi. i will paraphase, "if you dont get it (bitcoin) i do not have tine to explain it to you.'

I think I better understand.

I'm on it:

🤣 Got me dyin’ with this one

Yuh! Gotta dumb down everything

Often miscommunication today happens not because the sender needs to dumb it down for the receiver, but that the sender is too lazy to use all the words necessary for full communication to the recipient.

Dumbing things down makes the problem worse.

True!

Agreed! Sender needs to put in more work for communication results. #ProofOfWork

No! Receiver needs to be more aware and receptive!

Think of it as a rap and a double entendre And you have to catch the meaning of the lyrics

That’s like a shitty artist blaming their lack of success on the listeners.

Now you get it ! Ha ha ! The listeners shall always be the problem! Can’t be spoon fed forever!

I think both are extremely common.

On social media, what we see all the time is people getting absolutely outraged about things that none ever said and they just chose to project onto others.

I can't blame the original speaker for this because there is no way that you can phrase anything that will prevent people to distort it into whatever they wish.

True. Some people will always hear different words in their head than the ones that were sent. I think it partially due to the Trivium being removed from regular education.

“The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion it has taken place.” -George Bernard Shaw

Excellently put!

Love that quote.
