silent treatment is a sign of trouble and disagreement.

When things are understood without words, you know there’s a connection that transcends the physical, after all, the language of the soul is silent.

But when silence is the only answer you get in response to kind words, it can be devastatingly hurtful.

There’s no greater disrespect than the lack of acknowledgment, no greater insult than being ignored and no deeper wound than that inflicted by the silence of abandonment.

Silence can be restoring and tormenting, healing and hurtful, soothing and disturbing, meaningful and empty, truthful and deceiving.

When silence hurts, break it, when silence heals, embrace it and when silence is the result of the loss of a loved one, close your eyes and feel their presence in that silence.

Our souls continue to communicate even if our ears can’t hear it, if you pay attention, your heart will translate the unspoken language of the soul.

Silence… is there such a thing?
