About silence…
I love Sundays, there’s a particular silence to them that I love and silence gives me peace and peace makes me happy.
It’s curious how silence can mean different things to different people and how it can mean different things at different times.
It can either be calming or uncomfortable, cruel or kind, reassuring or unsettling.
ln a relationship being comfortable together in silence, is a sign of having reached a deeper level of closeness, but being given the
silent treatment is a sign of trouble and disagreement.
When things are understood without words, you know there’s a connection that transcends the physical, after all, the language of the soul is silent.
But when silence is the only answer you get in response to kind words, it can be devastatingly hurtful.
There’s no greater disrespect than the lack of acknowledgment, no greater insult than being ignored and no deeper wound than that inflicted by the silence of abandonment.
