I don't understand the recent disdain for email.

I don't know what's going on with them and don't get it either. It's just a weak point in decentralization. I'm doing this because I don't have a disdain for e-mail. It's the original message..
Companies just stuffed so damn many "enhancements" into body of the message it becomes a security issue just to read the e-mail OR an "enhanced" client / nearly full browser is required.
My purpose with this is to provide an option without relying on an external provider for a crucial "service". Shouldn't have to have a phone number / mobile phone, ID yourself, etc to have an e-mail or the like.
If you have a suggestion I'm listening.
