I wanted to warn/remind everyone about fiat mining jobs.
The company I work for - remotely in LA - decided to lay off more than half our employees WITHOUT 2 weeks notice, today. They used the at-will employment excuse.
I barely saved two key staff on my primary team. Everyone else was cut. They don’t offer benefits or severance pay, something was promised and yet never happened.
When I first started at this job, it was the best one I’ve ever had. Over the years I’ve managed multiple departments & built up amazing teams. Now I’m ashamed because of the asinine actions of our C-level.
Unfortunately I have to stick around to make sure everyone is paid what they are owed, and to pay my own bills / stack sats.
