I have wondered whether the "climate change" we are told is happening is produced, in part at least, by geo-engineering?

Geo-engineering itself shouldn't be too unbelievable to people; they just did some cloud-seeding a summer or two ago in the UAE, I believe it was, and inadvertently unleashed torrential floods!

I think more controversial or conspiratorial is the claim that there are "weather weapons," or at least that the government engineers the weather in ways to attack or punish certain locales. Like sending a tornado to a red state, or something. 😄

one of the first things that a military force wants to do is seem more dangerous than they are, more powerful

one of the first things that is done in propaganda is literally creating the image of omnipotence

ok, there is the other side as well, when a military force is very powerful, it wants to seem smaller

but if you see propaganda to the effect that amplifies the power of a military that means it's weak

I had an idea for a sci-fi story where it there was the a last day of rain on earth and no one knew why. But my dead end was that I couldn’t really come up with a plausible way for malevolent forces to actually control the weather. How could this plausibly be done?

“Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed fervently that it might not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the earth. Then he prayed again, and heaven gave rain, and the earth bore its fruit.”

Of course God is not a malevolent force, except from the perspective of the king of Israel.

Also, when it says "earth" I'm pretty sure this referred just to the land of Israel, not the entire planet.
