I don't know if I want to map out a few different bank branches I can rotate between ordering boxes of coins from and depositing the non-silver change back into or if I should just embrace being the "half dollars guy" nuisance customer at my regular branch.

You have to deposit them at a separate branch. Otherwise when you order a box they will just give you the one you have them.
I used to go into random banks and ask what they had on hand because "I lost a bet and want to pay in coins". It makes them laugh and more willing to help.
