I think they're like $30k. Definitely not cheap. And even if they legalized full auto weapons, I have to image that there would still be the FFL application process. And those fees are really high, too. It wouldn't surprise me if it cost $50k when all was said and done. Maybe even more. I think I'd rather go to one of those places in Vegas where you can rent one to shoot at the range, and take the money I save and buy more Bitcoin. As cool as it is, I would feel bad knowing I spent all that money on a gun that just sits on the shelf most of the time. I got a Sig Sauer P556 SWAT for about $2000 that I like to shoot once or twice a month. And it's an incredible personal defense weapon. That satisfies my desire to shoot and protect my home.
This is the P556 SWAT. (Stock photo, not mine). It looks like you can get them for under $1000 now. I got mine back in 2008 when it was a new model and paid close to $2000. Throw a single bungee sling on it and it's a hell of a lot of fun! 
Reagan's ban stopped the manufacturing of them for civilians. not banned them. made them very rare and expensive.
the NFA required the tax stamp and now background checks on them.
