From a scientific view, #Bitcoin is a virus.

It’s a non-living thing that cannot move or reproduce on its own, unless it infects a living biological host.

This doesn’t mean that it’s a harmful virus. It could form a symbiotic relationship with its host - just like not all germs are bad, and some we actually need to survive.
