Because we live in a society where we are supposed to love our families no matter what 🤷♀️. I don't really know, I just know that once hubs and I started doing Thanksgiving with friends, it became an enjoyable experience instead of dread that nothing was going to be right. I highly recommend it, I really do love my family but they are not my favorite people to spend special time with.
We call it Friendsgiving. Every year, the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

I live my life with 4 rules.
1. You do you cuz Imma do me.
2. Fuck around and find out cuz I ain't no bitch.
3. I'll try anything twice because the first time I might not've been in the right mood or known what I was getting myself into.
4 when people tell me I'll regret that in the morning, I poorly scream in their face I SLEEP TILL NOON

I'm either case, if you can learn to take what the other person is telling you to the absolute extreme, you can see everyone is wrong at some point
