I hear a lot of talk about calyx and graphene os. What do you guys think? Which is better?

No. I just think GrapheneOS running on a Pixel isnt a DeGoogled phone.

Is it something that’s doable? To de google a pixel or another android phone ?

Remove Google software from a Samsung or other brand is literally degoogling. Not saying its the best option. That would be degoogle though.

Pixel phone with GrapheneOS. Graphene does an incredible job of hardening stock android, and the pixel device has some of the best security too. Yes, hardware backdoors could conceivably exist on it.

That said, it is a plain fact that hardware backdoors absolutely do exist in all modern desktop Intel and AMD processors (and Apple desktop silicon), all raspberry pis, and a large percentage of networking equipment.

That’ll be my next tinkering project I think. Finding a cheap pixel and installing graphene os on it. Soon ™

All true! Very tired of people calling it deGoogled. Thats all. Never said it wasnt more private than stock android
