from what i've read it has something to do with how the system is structured as one large docker container compared to say startos that does separate containers for each app.

props to them on the beautiful looking system but regardless being able to access your node outside your LAN is a super basic need that "the 98%" will likely hit if they use any app beyond just core/electrs

They’ve used individual docker containers from the start, and they’ve been clear about that.

As for outside access, Tailscale works seamlessly.

Use what works for you.

That's the second time in 24 hours I've heard about Tailscale. Weird.
