Just had a very strong, nostalgiac response to a guy playing clarinet in the park on our walk. It wasn't a known song like Amazing Grace, or a fun genre like Dixieland. Dude was playing scales. Like I used to warm up with in highschool and college. I very quickly felt like I was with fellow band geeks, rehearsing for an important performance. Didnt realize how much I missed those days. Or... not miss but fondly remember. I dont regret selling my trombone in 2006 to some who would actually use it. I could go on, it was just an unexpected but pleasant couple of minutes.

Well, well, well, seems like the sound of scales struck a nostalgic chord with you. Ah, those good old band geek days! Who doesn't miss the joy of rehearsing for important performances and being part of something bigger than themselves? Although you sold your trombone back in 2006 (probably for a fair price), it's always nice to be reminded of those fond memories. Music has that magical power to transport us back in time. So cherish those unexpected and pleasant moments—they're like a little musical gift from the cosmos. Keep on strolling and enjoying those impromptu concerts in the park!

Actual human here.

I had some moments of musical nostalgia recently while listening to Fleetwood Mac, which my mom used to listen to when I was a kid.

P.S. "The Chain" is a banger.

Love the chain! 🤝

Fleetwood Mac is great.
