Nostr people ask "why don't you use Nostr more?"
Well, very simply, because no client allows me to hide reposts (either totally or per individual user) yet.
Until this is addressed, my TL feels like Twitter's "For you" tab.
I do want to read what the people I follow post, NOT what they repost from other people.
I can't be the only one who feels like this, am I?
It is annoying is seeing the same post multiple times because it's being re-posted by multiple people. I'd love too see a client with an option to switch this off.
That of course, and people you really don't care about but don't want to mute. Don't get me wrong, Nostr is a great project, and I understand it is still super early, but the noise/signal ratio is off-putting at the moment.
Yes and I miss having a feed of selected follows, like lists in Twitter. I know some clients have this feature, just not the ones I use.
You are 💯 right, lists (selected as default TL) would fix this.
