I didn't test embassyOs personally, but from my research on reddit & other sources is much better than umbrel. At the moment I have umbrel ..but I do intend to make the switch. I let you know in 2-3 days, I do intend to install embassy today 🤙

I’ve used both, and as someone who’s not the most technically proficient, I highly recommend EmbassyOS

Thanks, I’ve got 2 Intel NUCs, one running Umbrel and the other is plain Ubuntu with the bitcoin node and CLN manually installed. I’m not 100% happy with either solution so I think I will rebuild one of them with EmbassyOS.

as someone who would love to DIY my setup on ubuntu (watched many tutorials and videos) but simply doesn't have the background or time to really be able to do it successfuly, embassy was the solution I needed. I have CLN, bitcoincore, electrs running flawlessly so far

let me know if you have any questions as you go through the install, as I just recently did it and it's all fresh in my memory :) But I really didnt have any technical issues from the OS, just my own user errors that caused some hiccups at first,
