I got drawn to doing actual design work more. It was more fun and mentally rewarding. At the same time I got tired of sales and hustle. Besides the product sales I also did consulting and would have multiple calls per day. It just became not interesting and I was no longer interested in talking to people. Instead, async (no calls, ever) became my preferred method of communication and has been since then. I basically went the totally opposite direction. For the product sales it was a one time sale so there's a lot of hustle involved not for a lot of reward overall. It was just the wrong format and I did not wish to provide the actual services of executing those strategies (which is what people really wanted). Nobody wanted to read stuff, they just wanted someone to come in and fix it. I did provide this service for a while but didn't see it benefiting much. Besides making a living, I was helping startups disproportionately to the value they provided back. For example, I could position their product via price anchoring and get them 30% more revenue over night without lifting a finger, while I would see nowhere near significant value returned back to me. Besides, I was becoming more passionate about bitcoin and saw that as a more rewarding path, mentally speaking.
