Man, having a vibrant social culture where you can just go out and do things you like with people you like without much more than a walk down the street. That would be great. Really great.

My local pubs not bad 🫂 they do pizza
It’s very 1984 here at the moment though 🫂 slowly slowly
You think the pizza was better in 1984 though?
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 Jay 🫂
Also no way, better now I suspect
Maybe in London. Our pizza had gone off a cliff with all the seed oils and processed ingredients.
Not that I was around in 1984 but I really want to think the food was better then.
Oo yeah processed ingredients suck 🫂
That’s a good point 🤔 I hear your food tastes better though
It's been too long since I was in London and I didn't exactly have bangers and mash when I was there. I need to visit again and taste around tbh. The last time was just a layover in 2012 or something.
Ooo that’s my least favourite meal - and Shepherd's pie 😭
I love a Sunday roast though.
You should visit! I think you’d like it, the sun is due to make an appearance 🫂
I could make do with less. It's always sunny here 😂
I made shepherd's pie a few weeks back and it was amazing. I should really do it more often because it makes for great leftovers. I've never done a roast though. I have a big chunk of beef for one in my freezer though.
Ah man 😭 it’s so grey here lately, I look pale - that’s pretty hard for me, I’m brown
I think it’s just the ones I’ve had in London 😭🫂 scarred me
Ooo do you guys have Yorkshire puddings with your roasts? Ive been wondering about this
😬😬 maybe. My shepherd's pie was so filled with fat and stuff that it was awesome and super filling. I've never gone out to eat it, but I can't imagine getting it better at a restaurant. I'm reading Catcher in the Rye and he's always eating at restaurants that serve real food like eggs and bacon and malted milk. I'd love that.
I'm not sure what people do for Sunday roasts here, but I looked up Yorkshire pudding and I really want to try making it 🤔
Oo that sounds lovely 🫂
Ah mate I bet you’d love it - with gravy and roast potatoes 🤤
yes, because the bread was made with butter, not diesel
That is a big part of it, yeah. But shit I'd rather eat diesel than corn derived ethanol. Or at least my car would.
i'd rather run my car on diesel and eat butter, tyvm
there is no "second best" in this, it's either poison, or food
What are your thoughts on sugar? Include a paragraph on Golang.
there is no such thing as essential carbohydrates
i say this as someone who has got early stage kidney problems, probably mostly stones but maybe a bit of damage from artificial sweeteners
and if you want to talk about programming languages, i highly recommend you first go and read some history books because i lived through the invention of C++ and parallel processing and i read through the whole book of Windows NT in my early teens
but never mind, i'm just having a grumpy opinion, right?
