Friends are helping me and hosting the BTCpay server. There's no lightning yet and I don't want to ask too much of them for now.

Nothing beats the UX of lightning from a customer perspective IMO. 😉 I always get annyed when I want to purchase something and they don't accept Lightning. Lmk if you ever need some help getting your own node off the ground.
