Today is the “Feast of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary”. It is a feast to celebrate the coming of the Angel Gabriel to Mary when, at her _fiat_, the Word took on flesh and became man in her womb.
We may be natural children of Eve but Mary can be our spiritual mother. Natural death is no longer the only inheritance, as a child of Mary, we can share in the life of her Son.

No, I’m not schilling MaryCoin 😆 her “fiat” is the term given to her response to God’s call to her through the Angel Gabriel. When he announced to her God’s plan and her place in it, she humbly replied “let it be done unto me according to thy word”. “Fiat” is the latin word for the English phrase “let it be done” and being the first word in her response is used as shorthand for the entire response.
