Michael Connelly Bosch Series. LAPD. Any book. I thoroughly enjoyed Bosch on Amazon Prime Video. Audio books are great, because you can fall asleep during a segment and you really don't lose the plot. The plot format is great - a cold case forms the long plot, punctuated by a bunch of mini-cases.
