Will does this mean you should do a Satoshi and disappear?

Which is why I worry about your efforts to build on iOS. Hopefully the worst case scenario doesn’t happen. 🤞

apple can and probably will fuck me over eventually. I am already on their “list” and am treated unfairly compared to other clients which have features I’m not allowed to have. It doesn’t matter, I can always build elsewhere. I’m already starting to.

Fuck em!

Sadly I have an iPhone myself

"Edit" button?

Its ok to make mistakes

Oh I doo

I prefer no edit button.

Conkur... concur sorry ;-0

It's not only, about correcting mistakes, some times I'd like to add a note

Ever consider gamification? Like achievements for zapping x times in a day/lifetime, or badges for zapping more than x amount at once or overall.

Im relatively new to nostr and not the techiest girl in the world, and so far the zapping is one of the more interesting aspects that keeps my engagement with Nostr. Encouraging and rewarding the zapper with recognition of their generosity seems like it could be a way to incentivize zapping, and thus entice newer users to engage with the community more.

Without KYC profiles there is the possibility to zap to yourself in another different personal profile. I cannot see a way where this can avoided so badges would proliferate.

Maybe I'm missing something, correct me if there could be a way 😕

I don't see why anything needs to be "incentivized". How do you know that zapping more than whats happening naturally is good?

It is as though Nostr would earn tax from zapping and wants to incentivize zapping with shiny badges. It'll be pointless if someone ever does it. Anyway.

Here's a true incentive for zapping:

If you tell me 5 creative ways of using zapping for your benefits, I'll zap you 69 sats for each.

Badges do exist! People were issuing a lot of them a while back, but there is a little less meaning to them when no one really recognizes a single central authority for determining the awards and anyone can issue them. Would be interesting if someone can come up with a use-case that would revitalize them.

See https://badges.page/

Made even more relevant with the AppStore debacle.

Platforms of control cannot allow uncontrollable money.

My take on it...

We've had the ability to give lightning tips on Twitter through the tipping me extension for years now. Unfortunately, it didn't gain enough traction.

Facebook should be questioned if it wants to create a currency that can be controlled. The implications are enormous considering that its number of users is close to the sum of the top 3 countries in terms of population.

Never expected Twitter to directly add lightning payments to their platform due to regulatory implications. But do we really want this? Especially from the centralized corporations that collect and sell our data?

It feels like we're entering "be careful what you wish for" territory and tend to forget that the ultimate goal is decentralization.

Kudos to all those building the and on #nostr protocol! Achievement unlocked. It's far from perfect and I think it will face challenges and needs to prove itself over time. Build it, break it, fix it! 🔥

I am working on building a Nostr relay, I was browsing messages on the console of my computer, and I saw this post, I had to log, search for it and give it a like!!

Love this place!

Haha that's awesome blossom! 🌸

Good luck on your endeavor. Let me know when your relay is up and running! 💜
