Which client are you using?

How far are we from a beta? Even if limited functionality.

probably 2-3 weeks for alpha ?

Nice! Canโ€™t wait.

trying to document whats left to do for alpha here

https://github.com/damus-io/notedeck/milestone/1

Iโ€™ll check it out. ๐Ÿ’œ

Will alpha be open? ๐Ÿค”

its open source so yeah

Makes sense, but there's open source apps on apple that require TestFlight, as I'm sure you know, so it's not as straightforward as a desktop app. Just wanted to make sure because you're normally building on Apple.๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

yeah no testflight needed for this, just download and compile with `cargo build --release`

This is probably the most important part.

I like apple products and hardware, but being an apple dev sucks balls.

apple has devs by the balls

devdom

iBalls

Who will build the apps?

All zap features remain available?

zaps are coming, probably in beta not alpha though. who knows I may bang it out quickly.

Godspeed ๐Ÿ˜

Humble flex ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ˜‰

Really looking forward to it. ๐Ÿค™๐Ÿผ

Is what way is it wild?

It can be always open/connected so it feels way more realtime. Feels more like a chatroom now.

Plus screen size! My eyes are failing as I age and laptop is always on - bang there it all is in full glory.

What client are you using on desktop?

Damus notedeck (pre alpha)

Not available for public use then, by the (pre alpha) sound of it.

Tried it out on Linux. It wouldn't let me add an account tho. Browsed the code, ran the tests.. looked in ~/.notedeck/.credentials nothin there. When I try to add, the account add screen comes up, but it behaves like I'm clicking the window behind it.

Looking forward to trying further!

#linux #native ๐Ÿ’ฅ

Try โ€”sec on the cli

Itโ€™s not really cohesive at the moment, you can add accounts with โ€”sec and create columns with -f queries/timeline.json, etc. but it doesnโ€™t do anything fancy like fetching relay lists or contact lists yet

#nostr is a thick desktop client -> it is basically the entire internet -> wait ..it is actually the computer ... and the network -> its digital me ..

Iโ€™m not

The first
