The longer I use nostr, the more l realize how different it is from algo driven social media platforms.

I mean it’s obvious even without experiencing it first hand that there have to be differences and a platform without algo should be showing more of free and honest thoughts.

But: Actually using nostr intensively shows that it’s so much more.

It really puts the steering wheel back in the users hand. You can say what you want, but you also have to take responsibility of what you say, what you see and what your network is like.

You don’t want to miss important things? Follow the right people and make sure you check in regularly.

Want to be a creator/Influencer? Good, then go and share quality content. Be creative and engage with people. There is no algo you could trick or that’s helping you to be seen.

Don’t want to see certain things? Cool, but it is YOU who has to take care of it completely.

I am using nostr for two weeks now and the difference to other networks is mind blowing. I am feeling blessed, especially because of all the likeminded people here and the chance to get in contact with them. Twitter excluded me from this…
