My best suggestions if possible is to Read The Bible, Start a little Grow Garden, get dehydrated, or shelf stable foods, purchase a firearm (or 3d print one), and exercise.
Those steps all help, society will always be blind, all you can do is improve yourself, and the people around you, and only hope that enough people wake up in time.
