Received public key from friend via text message, pasted in Search, nothing found, deleted the last few digits and then they showed up.
Is this a bug or a security feature?

Might be a bug in damus. I found that when I exit the search panel and come back to paste it a second time it works #[2] #[3]
Maybe #[5] or someone can take a look at this proposed fix since I don’t get it
Will do, tho it’ll have to be later. I glanced at it already, if it’s the one I’m remembering. In general fixing a bug with a short delay indicates that the problem is not fully understood.
I wonder if it’s relatesd to relay response time and/or profile caching
