Math is the language of God. Bitcoin is based on math. There also is a humbling factor to bitcoin that I have yet to fully process but it feels like a calling from God to be Christ-like. In my reading of the Gospel, many times Christ espoused humbleness and service to others. But when it came time to drop truth bombs, no punches were held because the truth is righteous and good.

Just my two sats.

Also. Having studied complex systems and protocols. No fucking way this shit just happened to all line up. Intelligent design makes sense to me more than in the past. Especially when coupled with evolutionary iteration. The same thing happens in software. You start small and build and abstract until the resulting system is beyond comprehension without deep and rigorous study. Much like nature and our world He gave us.

This all coming from a former vocal atheist that read a few Richard Dawkins books and had all the logic 'figured out'.

Also, tangentially, my quality of life and relationship with my family and others has improved a lot since returning to Christ as my Savior.

And it's fun because Jesus got mad one very distinct time in the Bible. And it was to throw out the immoral money changers from the temple. I see parallels to bitcoin there.

Have you read Thank God for Bitcoin? It contains some ideas connecting Bitcoin and God. I particularly liked the idea it presents about Bitcoin solving some of the “moral hazard” that fiat money is susceptible to.

Confession, #BitBlockBoom was my first full on Bitcoin conference. I’ve been to single day events before. Attending alone, I was unsure how it would feel to be alone among a sea of people. At the BBQ social I sat at a table with some of the great nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955 contributors nostr:npub1yaul8k059377u9lsu67de7y637w4jtgeuwcmh5n7788l6xnlnrgs3tvjmf nostr:npub1qlk0nqupxmlyxravg0aqscxmcc4q4tq898z6x003rykwwh3npj0syvyayc and nostr:npub1zafcms4xya5ap9zr7xxr0jlrtrattwlesytn2s42030lzu0dwlzqpd26k5 and had a 2 hour conversation about mobile UX, iOS development, and building products for users. 💜

I entered the conference alone and left with frens.

Apple rejected the Culture Shock 2024 App Store submission because it thinks it facilitates tipping for digital content (which requires using their in-app purchase system) and also thinks it’s a Lightning wallet app (which can be submitted only by an organization developer account rather than my personal developer account). It does neither of those things. The incompetence is insane.
