In 200-500 years, I predict that history books will describe the “fiat experiment” as a necessary step along the path to Bitcoin and global abundance.

For individuals alive today, Bitcoin is about savings, personal responsibility, wealth building, and freedom.

But on a societal level… the Bitcoin movement is about human flourishing and evolutionary progress.

We are still SO early.

Zoom out.

And then stack sats.

Well said!! Zoom out!! Love it

Always fun to day dream about the future of #Bitcoin.. The social impact that generational wealth means imagine!! The house of cards (Fiat system) is coming down the powers that be will cave into Bitcoin willingly or not it’s the way the house is falling.. Stepping stone was a nice touch I agree we will reflect on the corrupt Fiat system in the future as a more prosperous adventurous society with value for value..

One thing I find interesting is that in the late 1900s, traditional investing (municipal bonds, the right commodities, and certain stocks) was the best way to build wealth.

It worked. For a time.

But now, with super PACs and late stage capitalism (ie proof of stake), it’s a completely different ball game.

Thank god for Bitcoin.

I would say fiat was an wicked invention created by greedy men. King Jesus used it as a stepping stone to freedom money

I believe the reign of Christ has been a series of instances of Him "giving gifts to men" each of which has made it progressively more difficult for men to oppress other men. Before the printing press, it was inconvenience that the power of the Catholic Church (nothing against Catholics, just against the wicked men who ruled at that time) would ever allow ideas to spread that could challenge their ideas.

So many evil practices will become impossible to continue when the US isn't extracting labor from the world. It will become very difficult for giant, centralized regimes to oppress their people when they have to ask their people for the taxes to rule. New evils will arise, but I see the next fifty years as a great reckoning for many evil systems.

In five hundred years, I think people will talk about these changes as things wrought by the invention of the internet. They will get the abbreviated version of history and will just know that we got the internet and Internet money soon after. The average person won't consider the tension we experience of living in an age where it seems like the bad guys might win and the internet might be largely just a tool of oppression.
