I don't really care too much about "art"

But when artists and creative expression are thriving, a society is thriving. We've lost that.

Probably true but I feel like lots of the best art throughout history came out of times when people were really struggling. Lots of art starts falling flat after the artist has “made it”. We live in weird times where we can be totally comfortable but also in absolute misery….so maybe things are different now.

Also I think creativity is stifled by continual bombardment of dopamine (our phones)

Idk…maybe both? Struggle surely produces stronger emotional responses than comfort. It’s all subjective I guess but I feel like strong emotion produces the best art. Maybe I’m just a dumb brute but I like art that makes me feel something.
