Ty for always looking for new ways to make the ux more palatable for new users. You’re a huge asset to the community.

I’m not a designer, but as a user, I think the key pair is a feature and helps to differentiate nostr from legacy systems. I don’t think it needs to be “hidden”. I think people just need to be taught how it works. When I first arrived I thought it was amazing that I could take my nsec to any client and my “network” would go with me.

It's not that I want to hide it. It's just that I am looking for ways to make onboarding more familiar, while still familiarizing people with keys. Perhaps I just didn't express myself well enough.

No I understood that part. “Hide” was probably a poor choice of words on my part.

With your example, I think it may just confuse things more. Sign up with email, then get keys sent to email with an “explainer” about the importance of keeping keys safe, meanwhile it was just emailed to me in my google account. I think it may be easier just to have that information right up front when making an account, which most clients do now? I’d not know.

While I have you here, some people were asking about who the devs are behind zap.streamer so that they could zap them and I wanted to make sure I got it right. Is it you Kieran and Vebicha (spelling I know)? Anyone else I’m missing?
