mutt sounds great until you install it and realize you're gonna spend the next week configuring it.

Mutt is a great email app.

Firefox already is and has been for a long time. They receive funding from Google in exchange for telemetry data. Their default settings send telemetry and to completely remove it (if it works) you have to go to about:config and search 'telemetry' to remove some of it.

there was a guy last summer who wanted to do that and was asking a lot of questions about it. he doesn't post any more.

I'd be sad if email went away. I wish people wrote more letters.
