If the goal wasn't to force people to fund things no sane person would support, then all of the force & threats & propaganda would be unnecessary. Free exchange would be enough.

The inability to save in a neutral medium of exchange is the biggest mechanism of this - it forces people to find derivatives of addiction, disease, war, etc (all things that can be counted on to exist in the future) to bet their savings on. A truly neutral asset is the only hope to restore this “power to stop funding” as you say
