Today (November 30th) is the day to begin the St. Andrew Christmas novena.

St. Andrew, the brother of St. Peter, was the first of the apostles to respond to Jesus' call. In the prayers of the Traditional Latin Mass, he is also the last saint mentioned before we receive Christ in the Eucharist. Thus, his feast day is a fitting day to begin our preparation for the feast of Christ's Nativity, when the Incarnation was made manifest.

Here is the novena prayer:

Hail and blessed be the hour and moment in which the Son of God was born of the most pure Virgin Mary, at midnight, in Bethlehem, in the piercing cold. In that hour vouchsafe, I beseech Thee, O my God, to hear my prayer and grant my desires, [here mention your request] through the merits of Our Saviour Jesus Christ, and of His blessed Mother. Amen.

Traditionally it is prayed 15 times per day, but if that isn't manageable, than you can do what I plan to do and pray it with your family once each evening.

We'll pick some intentions and offer them up every evening throughout the whole novena.
