I'm really disappointed that the metaverse idea never took off, but I blame Mark Zuckerberg, he killed that idea, he made it so uncool the way he tried to co opt it that everyone lost interest.
The same way that organised criminals laundering money through "nft art" totally fucked up people's perceptions of what nfts are meant for.
What was the meta verse ever actually going to be good for that WOW wasn't? And why would it need the 300k different coins people were shilling for it? All any of them could have done that btc couldn't was add needless complexity.
The nft thing for real world documents was actually a cool idea, but it just went full bars retard so remarkably fast. I don't think anyone could have predicted that the way it went down. Except for the selling bullshit to stack coin part. I think everyone knew that was coming but mostly because of the shitcoins that had given us so much precedence.
