It's been about a decade, but yeah. It's all so predictable, it's like the human brain and our animal instincts that kept us alive for millions of years are being hacked by malicious entities and are being used against us. I don't think we can adapt fast enough

I think some of us can. Every so often there is pressure like this on every species, and usually a big die-off but the freaks who were adapted end up becoming the dominant.
I personally cannot stand the way everything is now. The advertising, the nudging, the manipulations, the harassment. I'm moving towards refuges and leveling up my everything, and the more pressure they apply the harder I respond.
I'm sure you can relate.
