What's your favorite #bitcoin book?

Here's a the list of books I've listened to on Audible in no particular order. I highly recommend all of them, and a big big thank you to the author's tagged below, you've all enriched my life.

Please PLEASE let me know what you think I should listen to next. And yes, this does in fact reveal a strong preference for books narrated by nostr:npub1h8nk2346qezka5cpm8jjh3yl5j88pf4ly2ptu7s6uu55wcfqy0wq36rpev the man's voice and style are golden idk what to tell you.

I am 1000 times more likely to finish an audiobook than a physical book. It's just how I absorb information best. I'll take recommendations for anything, but audiobooks are what I am specifically looking for.

Not all good Bitcoin books have to be about Bitcoin.

A wider perspective can help you to appreciate something special like Bitcoin; this is better than relying largely on an already converted set of authors.

No Gods, No Masters (Guérin)

The Mandibles (Shriver)

Understanding Power (Chomsky)

I was debating wether all the books I've listened to about similar and related topics and economics in general would fit into the list but there would have been like 11 by Thomas Sowell and the list would have been way too long so, I had to keep it narrow but yes. Yes. This is what I'm here for. This is the reply I was looking for. Thank you.

I would add “The creature from Jekyll Island” to that list. This was published before Bitcoin however it is a good primer on the creation of the Fed, inflation during colonial and post-colonial America, etc.

Amazing, I've seen it floating around. Your blurb here hits all the right buttons haha, il add it to the list, thanks so much!

The Network State by Balaji Srinivasan

I somewhat see if as a spiritual successor to The Sovereign Individual. Balaji explains how to move forward in building an alternative to the nation states, from the digital cloud to the physical land.

Amazing. Do you think I should I read the sovereign individual first then?

You don't need to. I actually read The Network State first, then The Sovereign Individual right after.

While The Sovereign Individual, I think, is an important book for bitcoiners to read, I would prioritize The Network State.

Others can correct me if they believe me to be wrong in my take, but I see The Sovereign Individual as a warning of what's to come, while The Network State is a potential answer to it.

Since almost every one of us here know what's happening with the monetary system, I'd focus more on potential solutions to the problem, than spend more time on learning about the problem itself.

Great, I'll keep all that in mind. The sovereign individual has been on my list for a while now so I may start there either way. Thanks again!
