it *only* uses their caching relay for reading, thats why stats and everything "just works". the relay list is just for writing. this means they can censor anyone they want and you don't have any control over that. I believe they do this as well for removing spam and porn.

What is a caching relay? How does it differ from other relays and the relays people use?
Its a non-spec’d proprietary thing. It has nothing to do with nostr. Its just the old client server model and they are using relays as a data source
