Yesterday was 1 year since Derek's open heart surgery. The months prior and weeks after were TERRIBLE for him and the family. I'm beyond grateful everyday for his recovery. Since we found out he was going to have surgery, we have been trying to do as many things as possible with the kids (we could only do things for so long until he just wasn't feeling up to it before surgery).

Last night, we celebrated his 1 year anniversary by taking the kids to a #Blink182 concert.

Listening to the kids sing so many of the songs and see the pure joy on their faces was well worth the crazy long day!!
