So I take it everyone on my timeline who can consistently post is using a paid relay? If not - what relays are you using that are actually staying up?
My relays are all out for 90% of the last three hours, roughly. Didn’t start happening at all until I logged into snort social, then logged out, then logged back into Damus. Is this a thing? Or just relays being hammered (and again, if they’re hammered and intermittent, how come I see a bunch of people still posting - is it paid relays?)
Well, which relays are you using that seem to be having problems?
Almost all of the 37 I’m connected to. I’ve noticed that if I constantly close the app and re open it, over and over and over again, eventually it’ll stop showing only 2/37, and instead show 16/37, which then let’s me use the app…
Anyone ever run into this?
Cleaning up some of them. Disconnected from most, down to 16 relays now, wonder if there’s such a thing as too many relays…
Yep, I've ran into that issue with not all of them connecting and indeed, a restart almost always helps. Probably some issue with Damus itself.
But I also did a cleanup of the relays that I previously had, as some of them were not even valid anymore. It's probably a good idea to do this sort of cleanup every now and then.
