So… what’s our fix for community posts being kind 1 notes - showing up out of context in feeds?

A new kind, there's a PR out now

Hey man. I’m sad I didn’t get to talk to you.

Likewise! Very glad we at least got to meet. You still around? We're about to get on the train, but going to have breakfast near shibuya station first

No I went home 🏡 😔

Next time 🥲

Indeed 👊

I know it’s a big ask … and I’m a nostr nobody… but I really think so many event kinds (only for user generated content) will unnecessarily contribute to NIP bloat. And why should new content types be locked behind a NIP approval process anyway?

As a Kind 1 event, this problem could be solved simply by adding a ‘c’ tag. It is a perfect use case for

Look like we can detect if the post is community post or not by look a tags. If yes, render the community information. I will try implement it in Lume

What about titles?

I see that as a feature not a bug.

As that is seeing someone you followed posting into a community.

That's a feature, not a bug. Otherwise you can be censored by the community mods

Communities are moderated so that doesn’t really matter

It absolutely does. Right now, precisely they are regular kind-1 notes, your followers still see it in their feeda even if the community moderators disapprove the note. They just won't show up in the community feed/note list.

its totally out of context, no title, doesn't reference anything, even if your followers see it, what's the point? it's just a note then. Post a note instead.

Notes in general are like that though, they're really not different.

This is the same discussion, I am trying to have at resolvr, it all makes no sense without context.
