There's something really healing about pushups... Even when I don't do as many as I had intended, its like some kind of blockage clears out of my cardiovascular system.

Try doing them reeaaally slowly so you can only do 8 reps

Or hands pushed together. Same effect.

I tend to aim for 100 but my muscles just stop working around 80

When my arms give out. Plank is a good substitute.
