I've definitely stopped talking to "no-cointers" about Bitcoin and I generally just point out flaws in our current monetary system.
Only when they ask if there is an alternative that's when I bring up Bitcoin.
I still lean on Cryptoeconomics for fundamental principles of bitcoin, money, and the state. To me, maximalist arguments do amount to a ponzi scheme and ignore basic understanding of economics.
