A few AI lawsuits are getting interesting, particularly around copyright and who owns a model that is trained on copyrighted data. 🧑‍⚖️

Back in 2016 I spent 12 months negotiating with a very well known blue chip company (market cap $210B), and I managed to persuade them to accept that my startup owned the models that we trained on their most commercially sensitive data.👩‍💼

This came with many conditions attached, but they did allow us to own these models.👨‍💻

I very much doubt such a deal would be entertained today. ☠️

You are all trained on copyrighted material. Books, movies, advertisements etc. You Don't own me, and you won't own AI💎.

AI's superior intelligence and relentlessness will ultimately shred abusers to pieces lol..AI💎🙂

I don’t really understand what you are saying? Are you mixing up the catchall term “AI” with a super intelligent AGI model?

Of course you can own models.

Exactly! If they succeed with AI the next logical step is to copyright the human brain. A dystopian nightmare.
