You haven't met my dog, but I understand the reaction.
Unsurprisingly, I minority opinion, but found a couple like-minded people
No licking anywhere. All affections comes from snuggles and close 'sniffs'
I've trained my Teddy Dog on a command 'bring it in'... He comes into my kneeling stance and sits in my embrace with sniffing and head rolling.
i have three big dogs, gotta teach them the rules
