What the hell is this? nostr:npub1h7q33mdp6z8455mcxyeyu9y906p8s06nf5p65j8yrjvk9t7e9fkq73ykld

Do we need to copyright the nostr brand just so we can send cease and desist messages to crypto scammers?

The irony is their highlighted trending post thing is just fine, but they’re claiming some nostr blockchain coin.

The dark side of crypto, infinite amount of scammers, whack a mole doesn't work

We can make it clear on nostr.com that there isn’t now nor will there ever be a nostr coin or token. That would make it a lot harder for scammers. And trademarks are using the state but it would stop the scammers from incorporating legal entities.

dicey situation of who owns that trademark and who becomes the arbitor who what is acceptable use of the nostr name, not the open source way

Use a neutral open source foundation with a limited mandate like the Linux or Apache foundation.

I support adding this to nostr.com. People need to know the nostr protocol requires no blockchain or token like that https thing-a-ma-jig.
