What was the shittiest book you were forced to read? #asknostr #bookstr

Shittiest book I was ever forced to read was Nectar in a Sieve. Slow, boring-ass tale of poverty and suffering.

I'm currently reading The Night Watchman, and it sounds similarly shitty.

Great Expectations 🤮. I ended up switching to the cliff notes to pass the test on the book.

Oh lord I forgot that trash. Fucking kid with three stupid nicknames or something. Handle? Pip? Something like that. Complete waste of time.

Was just talking about this the other day. Such a strange story for kids to read. Pretty sure I read it two separate times through school too!

It’s a great story to force on impressionable youths to murder their curiosity and love of learning.

My third grade teacher set up a whole school term worth of work based on https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Little_Match_Girl

I read it in 2 days, and finished her course work in a week that was supposed to last 3 months.

Teacher called in my mother to speak about my insubordination of finishing the whole term of school work in a week.

It was a nonsense story and Mrs Hutchison’s coursework was even weaker.

Fuck that little homeless bitch. She used her own supply instead of just finding a fire. I learned nothing and got punished and learned to hate authority from the whole thing.

Imagine getting in trouble as a kid because you did your school work too fast.. Well yeah, I did.

torn on this one, but I'd say Harry Potter. Had to read it in school and didn't like it. if I don't like a book I just stop reading, but I had to keep reading this one.
