We’re reaching absurd levels of casual requests for biometrics in retail stores. And most people don’t even pause to consider why they should refuse.

Is it really different than giving your social security number to any credit card company or bank?

As far as the computer is concerned it's just a bunch of ones and zeros that identify you.
