Instead of telling what to do to someone you should explain them the why. If they don't respect the why, the issue should then be resolved through arguments. If you are never able to see things the same way as your colleagues, maybe you are not compatible with them or on different level of consciousness and should not work together. You should also consider that good changes take time, if they keep going on the good direction, it's generally good for the long term.
