I just killed a spider the size of an oreo cookie. I'm not sure if I'll be able to sleep tonight. That creature was in my space π±

There's prob more ngl π don't you have a cat to catch them?
My freeloaders just stare at them till hooman kills them with a shoe.
you don't even want to see the size of the huntsman spiders i caught and released on the regular when i was in Australia π
my sister always called them "horace". No need to chase them out, they generally just sit perfectly still in the corner of the wall waiting for bugs to turn up for their dinner.
lol. i hear you. there were cats so i was doing my best to help them live. also fed a brush turkey and family of possums that hung out in the yard (they were so cute), i could hand feed the possums and the brush turkey eventually stopped being skiddish and became quite comfortable around me. they're great to have in the yard. i never understood why some people chase them off
I've not lived around those birds. I think they do tear up shit. I worked on a garden once in the mountains near the gold coast that had a resident wild peacock. They are scary mfs lol. Like 2x more size than swans and a much sharper beak.
The animals are awesome. Some day I'll be living closer to them. Soon β’οΈ

Summer now in land down under, I removed a huntsman the size of a small side plate last night.
Bugger jumped off the wall at me as I tried to trap it.
Glad I had the brown undies on.....πππ
Legends say that spiders in the house bring money.
They are also protecting you from actually annoying insects like mosquitoes or flies that are living in your house. If you are lucky to have a big spider in your house, he might also protect you from cockroaches.
The second part is not a legend. No spider is ever going to harm you or your family if you do not bother them.
Big spiders are smart, and they only pick the fights they can win.
Pre-COVID, I used to share an office with Wolf. We had a great working relationship - she'd keep out of sight in her hole and not bother me when I was working. But if a noisy fly came in, she was after it like an eight-legged terrier!
